About the artist:
Gemma Casserly has developed a studio practice rooted in observational study, material exploration and conceptual development. Working in 2D with watercolours, oils and mixed media, her paintings and prints often investigate themes of place, memory, landscape and the relationship between light and atmosphere. The Gasworks at Black Rock series examines the meeting point between industrial architecture and the expansive coastal landscape.
