About the artist:
Ian O'Halloran is an artist who uses printmaking techniques (multi-block linocut and hand coloured drypoint) to make his art. He is inspired by the history and mystery of the British landscape – it's shapes, rhythms and patterns and the stories they tell. Having started his artistic career as a painter he brings a unique, painters' approach to printmaking and uses colour to express his emotional connection with the places that inspire him. Last year he had work selected for the Ironbridge Printmaking competition and won the Handprinted competition to show work at the Linoprint 4 exhibition in Whitstable. He also had work selected for the Atelier Open Exhibition. He has exhibited work in local and national exhibitions and print fairs and shows regularly with the Sussex Arts Collective (of whom he is a member). His work also can be seen at Edwards & Todd (Lewes).
