A Bath a Book and a Cat

In January, I was cat-sitting for my artist friend Sarah Arnett, whose home is filled with her artwork and beautiful objects. Her cat, Simon, would jump onto the brass sink and ask for running water, a small everyday scene that became the starting point for this print. As my own flat only has a shower, I took advantage of the bath during the cold January mornings, usually with a book to hand. For the curious, the book shown is Northanger Abbey by Jane Austen. The artwork is created from individual ink drawings, which I scan and digitally assemble as layers before adding colour. The finished design is printed with archival inks on fine art paper and produced as an individually signed limited edition in standard A sizes, from A0 to A4.

His practice evolved from a lifelong passion for drawing, combining architectural precision with expressive ink, texture and colour. Inspired by direct experience and the act of “standing and staring”, he finds order within everyday chaos. Working from his photographs, he creates handmade drawings that are digitally layered and coloured, producing individually signed limited-edition art prints. Love life, love art!
