Brighton Cat Lovers

This is a coloured-up print of my recent cut-out project. After trying out many different configurations, I settled on this scene: one figure sunbathing on the terrace while the other snoozes in bed with their cats. Very much a Sunday morning in Brighton, with the sea and the Palace Pier on the horizon. Limited edition of 100 pigment print.

Alej Ez is Alejandro Martinez Rodriguez, an architect and contemporary printmaker based in Brighton. His practice evolved from a lifelong passion for drawing, combining architectural precision with expressive ink, texture and colour. Inspired by direct experience and the act of “standing and staring”, he finds order within everyday chaos. Working from his photographs, he creates handmade drawings that are digitally layered and coloured, producing individually signed limited-edition art prints. Love life, love art!
