Pussiflora

Pussiflora was the result of experimental practice. I scraped back a thick multilayered coloured background to reveal a hint of this imagined painting.

Mandy is a naive artist based in Bridport . Inspired by colour , texture and interesting people her paintings can tell a quirky story usually depicted in vivid acrylic paint , print and collage. She loves the neighbourhood cat community, and finds their characters fascinating. There is often a backdrop of collected textiles in her work, particularly from the 1960s . interesting objects and images are drawn from the natural world and folk art.
