Porthcurno is a relief print, made from two blocks that have been cut, inked and then printed using a F.A.G. letterpress proofing press onto Zerkall cotton rag printmaking paper.
This print is of the beautiful bay, Porthcurno, Cornwall, England, and some flowers from the hedgerow. The first transatlantic telegraph cable came ashore here.

Sarah Young is a painter, printmaker, illustrator and maker working with narrative themes often inspired by myth, folk tales, circus and burlesque imagery. As a printmaker she is known for her lino and wood cuts but she also works in screen printing, mono print and collagraph.
